What to build

GitLab stops deploying, so the switch day does not race it. GitLab's preview and production deploy jobs are removed, and every live preview on the production VPS is torn down by running the reap once with no open merge request kept. Production keeps serving its current image until Forgejo's first green main deploys over it. Every open merge request is merged or closed, so the import carries only closed history. The gate keeps running on GitLab until the switch.

Seam: the switch-day checklist (spec ## Seams).

Acceptance criteria

No GitLab job deploys a preview or production; the gate still runs.
No preview stack is left on the production VPS; production still answers.
No merge request is open on GitLab.
The checklist's freeze step is ticked with its check command's output.

Freeze done (infra/forgejo/SWITCH-DAY.md step 1), 2026-10-22.

No GitLab job deploys. !571 removed the preview, production and image jobs; the gate (changes, reuse-gate, cancel-merged, checks, front-test, e2e), the audit, Renovate and the production backup still run. The reap now runs by hand only (REAP=1), and its nightly schedule is off:
